Today I read a review of Downton Abbey that mentioned a trend of comparing the show to Keeping up with the Kardashians. At first I was kind of appalled, but then I immediately thought of a bunch of similarities between them! Eerie similarities. Both Edith and Chloe grew up in the shadow of their more publicly enamored sisters, thus forcing them to develop sharp, bold personalities, along with need to keep their sisters in check by spreading gossip or being a huge bitch. While both Chloe and Sybil have the most stable relationships despite being the youngest, Sybil actually shares a fundamental aspect of her personality with Kim, which is that they both follow their hearts above all other things even when it leads to public scandal for their family; character defining examples are Sybil marrying a rebel Irishman and Kim divorcing her husband after 72 days. Mary and Kourtney both underwent long, drawn out and tumultuous courtship periods with Matthew and Scott respectively. This defined them as the more reserved sisters who guard their emotions the closest, but they are also the most level-headed and perhaps the most intelligent.
IT ALL MATCHES UP!
