Watching olympic dressage if you know nothing about horses is pretty much exactly like watching the floor routine in olympic gymnastics if you know nothing about humans

The other day my friend told me she overheard someone saying how he watched dressage after stephen colbert mentioned Rafalca on his show and while he was watching it he thought, “Why is that horse is going sideways? Whatever.” Which is funny to me because in my mind that’s like watching gymnastics and saying, “Why did that girl just do three flips in the air and land on her feet? Whatever, any human will do that if you tell it to.”
